University of California-Riverside Assistant Professorship in Medical Cultural Anthropology

Deadline: January 16

Length: Tenure-track

Comments: “The department seeks applications from broadly trained biomedical and critical medical anthropologists who are concerned with social inequalities (race, gender, class) and culturally constructed notions of well-being, health, and illness. The ideal candidate’s research and teaching should inform one or more of the departmental foci: (1) transnationalism, migration, and global processes; (2) indigenous, gender, and human rights in capitalist or postsocialist societies; (3) sociocultural contours of care; and/or 4) contemporary culture change in a context of political economy.”
