Arizona State University Assistant Professorship in American Politics

Deadline: November 7

Length: Tenure-track

Comments: “The successful candidate will be expected to develop a program of research with national and international reputation in American politics that engages or has a bearing on issues of socio-economic justice or human rights. The successful candidate’s research should focus on the way the study of American politics can shed light on some dimension of socio-economic inequality in the United States. For example, research can focus on the way political institutions or processes shape economic policy or economic outcomes; issues related to the representation of ethnic or racial minorities, of gender, or of sexual orientation; the politics of immigration and border control; or the politics of incarceration and prison reform.”
