Comments: “The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching introductory courses in African History as well as upper- and masters-level courses in her or his area of expertise. The department is a partner in three Rutgers University-Newark campus centers that focus on race, ethnicity and culture (including historical memory, public history, human rights); urban studies; migration and the global city, and we encourage applications from scholars who can contribute to these centers and/or to other interdisciplinary programs on campus including a film studies minor, American Studies, and Women’s and Gender Studies (including a minor in LGBTQ studies). ”
